Popular model Gigi Hadid got arrested for something serious in the Cayman Islands. The police suspected her of bringing ganja also called as Weed or Cannabis and things to use it with. Gigi, who was on vacation with her friend Leah Nicole McCarthy, got caught when officers checked their bags at the airport on July 10. The officers found marijuana and items used to consume it during a more detailed search.

Both Gigi and Leah, who are 28 and 29 years old, got taken to the Prisoner Detention Center. But later, they were let out on bail after finishing the paperwork. When they appeared in court on July 12, both of them admitted they were guilty. They were fined $1,000, but luckily, they didn’t get a permanent record of their mistake.

Gigi’s representative said that the marijuana she had was legally bought in NYC with a medical license. And it’s been allowed for medical use in Grand Cayman since 2017. So, Gigi’s record remains clean, and she continued to enjoy her time on the island.
