Prime Minister Modi Rides Metro on His Birthday and Opens New Stretch of Delhi Airport Metro Line

After the big event, Prime Minister Modi hopped onto the Delhi Metro for a ride. Starting today at 3 p.m., regular passenger services will be available on the new extension.

On Sunday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi opened up a new stretch of the Delhi Airport Metro Express line. This extension spans nearly two kilometers and connects Dwarka Sector 21 to a brand-new metro station called ‘YashoBhoomi Dwarka Sector 25.’ Following the inauguration, PM Modi even hopped on the Delhi Metro for a ride.

During the journey, lots of passengers got the chance to chat with PM Modi and even took selfies with him. (PTI)

Prime Minister Modi is about to inaugurate the initial phase of the International Convention and Expo Centre (IICC), which is named YashoBhoomi. (PTI)

The opening of the new metro station at Dwarka Sector 25 will enhance the city’s connectivity within the sub-city, making it more convenient for people to access the IICC. (PTI)

The passenger services on this newly extended section will commence at 3 pm today. With this addition, the total length of the Airport Express Line, stretching from New Delhi to Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector-25, now spans 24.9 kilometers, as mentioned by a senior official. (ANI)

The Airport Express Line currently boasts seven metro stations, which include New Delhi (where you can change to the Yellow Line), Shivaji Stadium, Dhaula Kuan, Delhi Aerocity, Airport (T-3), Dwarka Sector-21 (where you can switch to the Blue Line), and the newly added Yashobhoomi Dwarka Sector-25, as reported by ANI.
