- The Kargil War, also known as the Kargil conflict, occurred between India and Pakistan from May 3rd to July 26th, 1999, lasting for 2 months, 3 weeks, and 2 days.
- The conflict was centered in the Kargil district of Jammu and Kashmir (now Ladakh) and along the Line of Control (LoC), which serves as the de facto border between India and Pakistan in the disputed region of Kashmir.
