False Announcement: Donald Trump’s Death
Among these posts, there was one that wrongly claimed that former US President Donald Trump had passed away. The post, which has since been removed, stated, “I’m sorry to inform you all that my father, Donald Trump, has passed away. I will be running for president in 2024.”
Another post from the hacked account took aim at the current President of the United States, Joe Biden, and contained offensive language.
Additionally, there was a post that falsely claimed, “This just in: North Korea is about to get smoked.”
Furthermore, another post insinuated that there were “some interesting messages with Jeffrey Epstein,” even though Epstein had passed away under suspicious circumstances in a Manhattan jail over four years ago.
Defense of Richard Heart
The compromised account also posted a message asserting the innocence of Richard Heart, a well-known figure in the cryptocurrency community who had faced accusations of stealing $12 million from investors.

Confirmation of the Hack
Shortly after the false posts began circulating, Donald Trump Jr.’s spokesperson, Andrew Surabian, confirmed that the former President’s son’s account had been hacked. Surabian stated, “FYI: This is obviously not true. Don’s account has been hacked.” However, he did not offer any clues regarding the identity of the hacker(s).
This news follows a recent announcement by Donald Trump’s campaign that he will not be partaking in the upcoming second Republican presidential primary debate, which was set to occur in California next week.
Instead, Trump has chosen to deliver a speech to a gathering of union workers. The decision to skip the debate stems from his intention to involve himself in a labor dispute involving striking workers and the country’s top automaker, as reported by Reuters, citing an aide.

Donald Trump has been vocal in his criticism of President Biden’s electric vehicle policies and has encouraged autoworkers to support his candidacy. Meanwhile, the United Auto Workers union initiated a strike last week against the three largest auto manufacturers in the United States, primarily concerning issues related to compensation and additional benefits.
This marks the second occasion on which Trump has chosen not to participate in a Republican primary debate. Despite facing a multitude of legal challenges, recent opinion polls indicate that Trump is holding a commanding lead over his closest competitor, with a nearly 50 percentage point advantage. It’s worth noting that Trump had also opted out of the initial Republican presidential debate held in Wisconsin the previous month.
