Asian Games 2023 Cricket: Match Timings, Teams, and Must-Know Facts

In the Asian Games 2023, cricket will be played in the T20 format. This exciting cricket format will feature competitions for both men and women in the upcoming edition of the games. The Asian Games 2023 are scheduled to take place in Hangzhou, the People’s Republic of China, from September 23 to October 8.

The men’s cricket tournament at the Hangzhou Asian Games 2023 will feature 15 teams and is set to commence on September 27. Excitingly, the bronze and gold medal matches are scheduled to take place on October 7.

In the Hangzhou Asian Games 2023, the four highest-ranked teams – India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh – will kick off their campaigns directly from the quarter-finals. Meanwhile, the other 11 teams will commence their journey in the group stage. The top four teams from these groups will advance to join the top four seeds in the top eight stage of the tournament.

Similar to the men’s tournament, in the women’s cricket competition, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Bangladesh have earned direct entry into the quarter-finals. The remaining four teams have been divided into two groups as part of the competition.

Following the round-robin matches and a quarter-final qualifier round, the schedule for the top eight teams will be determined.
